I tend not to reply to individual comments, certainly if they are generically complimentary. I want to make it clear that I love to receive these comments and I really appreciate them. I just find responding to comments is inherent to discussion, and if there is nothing to discuss (i.e. 'Thank you' replies) I don't feel like I'm contributing anything and replying begins to feel like an impersonal stamp.
So I'd just like to say that I READ all the comments I receive, and THANK YOU ALL for writing them. Any constructive criticism or compliments specific to the work WILL receive replies. I DO want to interact and I AM here to answer any questions you may have.

Sometimes its difficult being an artist online who works primarily with original characters. FanArt carries with it the followings of large franchises, often leaving original work unnoticed. I struggle to get even 3 favorites on original character pieces, while fan art I've done in less than a third of the time has received hundreds of favorites and dozens of comments. I know, DeviantArt isn't exactly the best place for my kind of work. A vast majority of the sites attention is paid to 'My Little Pony' artwork and pornagraphic material.
